Announcements – New Song This Week

  • We are seeing lives impacted already in this season’s Pull Thru Prayer. Praise God for the work he is doing in the lives of those who stop for prayer. It is not too late to volunteer for a day 4-6PM, Monday through Friday. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP. Please see Jack with any questions.
  • Our annual Harvest Party is Saturday, October 10th, gathering at 5PM, eating at 6PM. Due to COVID-19 it will be a little different this year. Regardless, we look forward to a time of food and fellowship. We will have a special time of thanksgiving.
    • Activities: Fellowship, chili cook off, playground, corn hole, bon fire (no bounce house or knocker balls due to COVID-19)
    • Bring: Chili entry and/or side and/or dessert (no pig roast this year), and outdoor chairs
    • FoodChurch will provide plastic/paper service, hotdogs, buns, bottled water, and individual bags of chips. Served by volunteers wearing food service gloves.
    • We request volunteers for food service, hot dog grill, and setup/cleanup. Please let Ashley or Jack know if you can help.
  • Sunday school class: Would you like to go deeper than Facebook posts in learning about the current social and political unrest? This is an eight week class on a biblical and historical view of the controversy we see every day on the news. There will be a short video each week followed by discussion. This is intended for all New Songers and will be especially helpful to families and children of all ages. Class meets in the church building lobby at 8:30AM.
  • We have permission from our neighbor next door to use their parking lot on Sunday mornings for easier access to the shelter for outdoor services. If you need a closer parking spot you may park at the back of the parking lot that used to be Tall Timbers, now The Basement Doctor.
  • We are collecting food donations for the next several weeks. If you wish to contribute, please leave non-perishable donations on the wood pew on the front patio of the church as you make your way back to the pavilion for service. Canned goods with long expiration dates, dried beans, and rice are preferred. We will move them to a designated area following the service.
  • The first women’s retreat planning meeting will be today from 11:30 to 12:30 at New Song. Those of you that signed up on the survey and have spoken to Melissa please join us.
  • Our nation needs prayer more than ever. We now have three prayer meetings each week to accommodate different schedules: Tuesday 10AM on Zoom, Thursday 6:30AM on Zoom, Thursday 8:00AM on Zoom, and Friday 5:30AM on Zoom.
  • Email your prayer requests to prayer@newsong.family by noon on Sunday to be included in the weekly prayer ministry email.

Lyrics

The Lion and the Lamb
Leeland Mooring, Brenton Brown, Brian Johnson
CCLI: 7038281

He’s coming on the clouds kings and kingdoms will bow down
Every chain will break as broken hearts declare His praise
Who can stop the Lord Almighty

Our God is a Lion, the Lion of Judah
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him

Our God is a Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Every knee will bow before Him

Open up the gates make way before the King of Kings
The God who comes to save is here to set the captives free
For who can stop the Lord Almighty

Who can stop the Lord Almighty
Who can stop the Lord Almighty
Who can stop the Lord Almighty
Who can stop the Lord

O Come To The Altar
Elevation Worship
2016

Are you hurting and broken within
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin
Jesus is calling

Have you come to the end of yourself
Do you thirst for a drink from the well
Jesus is calling

O, come to
the altar
The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness
was bought with
the precious blood of Jesus Christ

Leave behind your regrets and mistakes
Come today there’s no reason to wait
Jesus is calling

Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy
From the ashes a new life is born
Jesus is calling

Oh what a Saviour
Isn’t He wonderful
Sing hallelujah, Christ is risen
Bow down before Him
For He is Lord of all
Sing hallelujah, Christ is risen

Bear your cross as you wait for the crown
Tell the world of the treasure you found

Revelation 19:11-16
Vicki McCullouch

And I saw heaven opened
and behold a white horse
and He who sat on it is called
Faithful and True
and in righteousness
He judges and wages war

And His eyes are a flame of fire
and on His head are many crowns
and He has a name written upon Him
which no one knows except Himself

And He is clothed with
a robe dipped in blood
and His name is called
The Word of God

And the armies which are in heaven
clothed in fine linen white and clean
(repeat)

Were following Him on white horses
And from His mouth
comes a sharp sword

So that with it
He may smite the nations
and He will rule them with a rod of iron
and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath
of God the Almighty

And He is clothed
in robe dipped in blood
and His name is called
the Word of God

And on His robe and on His thigh
He has a name written,
“KING OF KINGS”
And on His robe and on His thigh
He has a name written,
“LORD OF LORDS”
